Project and issue tracking for software teams Plan. Build. Ship.

Three words, three states. NotusShip is where software teams move work from plan to production in one place — running on your own server, installed in minutes.

Your server, your database Offline licence check English and Turkish

The real interface. This page is built from the product's own colour and type tokens — the density you see is the density you get.

Stance

Three decisions shape the whole product

What makes NotusShip an alternative isn't the number of features. It's which features are absent, and that the defaults work.

Defaults that work

Create a project and you get three columns, a backlog and a working board. You can file an issue without touring a settings screen.

Adding a new setting requires a justification. Not adding one doesn't. Configurability is debt.

Built for software teams

Issues, board, sprints, backlog, time tracking, wiki. The six things a team actually uses, working properly.

Trying to do everything and doing none of it well is a choice. We didn't make it.

Your data stays yours

Runs on your server, in your PostgreSQL. Your backups are on your disk and export is always one command away.

The licence check is fully offline — the product never calls home.

Deliberate noes

What we don't build, and why

This list lives in our product docs and every feature request is held up against it. What a tool is gets decided by what it isn't.

Not here Why
A custom field engine The single biggest reason Jira becomes unusable. Every team growing its own forest of fields means twenty fields nobody fills in six months later.
Approval chains, form designers, process engines That's our sibling product, NotusFlow. Keeping the two apart without letting either turn into the other is the only way both stay clear.
Permission schemes, field-level permissions There are three roles: Owner, Member, Viewer. Enough for a software team — and a permission matrix is a screen nobody wants to open.
A JQL-style query language The filter UI covers 95% of what you need. The remaining 5% isn't worth teaching your team a new language.
Gantt, resource and capacity planning A different product category. Half a Gantt chart is worse than none.
Billing, hourly rates, cost accounting Time tracking measures time; it doesn't do arithmetic with money. Accounting is somebody else's job.
Chat and messaging Talking to Slack beats imitating it. Your team already has somewhere to talk.
Multiple assignees Split responsibility disappears. An issue gets one owner; everyone else lives in the comments.

This list isn't here as bravado. If the thing you're looking for is on it, NotusShip is the wrong tool — and you should know that now, not on our first call.

What's in it

Enough to run a sprint end to end

Everything below works today — Notussoft's own engineering team runs its work on it.

Issue tracking

Readable keys (ACME-214), type, priority, assignee, labels, subtasks, issue links and an automatic change history.

Kanban board

Drag and drop, your own columns, filters, and views you can save and share.

Sprints and backlog

Start and complete sprints, story points, velocity, and the history of every sprint you've closed.

Time tracking

A timer or manual entry, a weekly personal timesheet, per-project reports and CSV export.

Project wiki

Page tree, markdown, a version on every save, diffs and restore. With an architecture decision record template.

Search and command palette

One search across issues, wiki, projects and people; ⌘K to get anywhere.

Notifications

An in-app inbox, live updates, and email — instant or a daily digest, the user chooses.

English and Turkish

Interface language per user. Dates, times, number formats, time zone and week start follow the locale.

Git integration

Commits and pull requests link themselves to the issue. An issue key in the message, the PR title or the branch name is enough — nobody links by hand.

Reports

Burndown, cumulative flow, cycle and lead time, sprint risk. Each report shows the numbers behind its judgement instead of collapsing them into one score.

API, webhooks and MCP

Long-lived API keys (read-only if you want), webhooks that push events out, and an MCP server — a coding agent can read the board and move a card along.

Enterprise access

Single sign-on (Entra ID, Google Workspace, any provider that speaks OIDC), organisation-level audit log, and private projects only the people you add can see.

Mobile

iOS and Android apps: assigned to me, inbox, board, issue detail, timer, quick issue creation and push notifications. You enter your own server address and sign in. App Store

Install

One image, one command

The application and PostgreSQL in a single docker compose file. Database migrations apply themselves on startup and the nightly backup is on by default.

your server
# .env: password and address
$ cp .env.example .env

$ docker compose up -d
  ✓ notusship-db healthy
  ✓ notusship-app healthy

# Which build is running
$ docker compose exec app \
    dotnet NotusShip.Api.dll version
  NotusShip 1.0.0+9f2c1ab
01
A conversation We talk about your team size and where you want to run it. Every install is also a call where we collect feedback — which is why we're deliberately slow about handing out the image.
02
The install You run it on your own server, or we host it for teams that don't have one. The target: someone following the docs is up and running in fifteen minutes.
03
Upgrades Release notes, backward-compatible migrations and a documented path back one version. An upgrade never loses data; if a manual step is required, the release notes say so plainly.

Pricing

Free up to three people, published beyond that

You should not have to book a call to learn the price. Prices are billed in Turkish lira and include VAT. A price change never applies to a term already under way — you pay what your contract says for the year.

Hosted by us

₺290 / user / month

  • ₺2,900 / user / year paid annually — ten months instead of twelve, a 17% discount
  • Free for up to 3 users, with no time limit and no key
  • The smallest paid licence is 5 seats — ₺14,500 per year

On your own servers

₺59,000 / year · up to 25 users

  • ₺139,000 / year up to 75 users
  • Above 75, we quote
  • About 20% below the hosted equivalent, because you carry the operational load

A free 30-day, 25-seat trial. Long enough for your team to run a sprint end to end before deciding. When the trial ends nothing locks up: if you are three people or fewer the installation falls back to the free tier and keeps working. Trial and licence keys are issued within one business day of your request.

Straight answers

Four things you should know

You can't download and try it The product image isn't public and won't be. Getting started begins with a conversation — a deliberate choice, not a temporary limitation.
A young product Version 1.0.0: the interface and API are stable, but the product is new. Notussoft's own team uses it daily and every defect we find gets written down. Being an early customer means shaping where it goes.
No ready-made Slack app Git integration, burndown and flow reports, and automation rules are in the product now. There is no ready-made Slack app: you can push events out over webhooks and bridge them to Slack, but we don't ship a one-click Slack install.
An expired licence doesn't lock your data Fourteen days of grace. After that, installations of three users or fewer fall back to the free tier and keep working; larger ones become read-only. Reading, signing in and backups stay available — access to your data is never cut off.

One conversation is enough: your team, the tool you use today, and where you'd run it. If we don't think it fits, we'll tell you.
